Andy Cohen Set to Replace Kathy Griffin on New Year’s Eve

New Year’s Eve just got a whole lot more gray and gay.

After Kathy Griffin’s bloody Trump-head scandal, the folks over at CNN were quick to cut ties with the funny redhead. It was announced that they would be replacing one of Anderson’ Cooper’s BFFs with another of his besties—Andy Cohen. The openly gay TV executive turned Bravolebrity will host live with Copper in Times Square as the ball drop (and hearts melt).

“Andy is the life of the party wherever he goes, and what bigger party is there than New Year’s Eve? It is going to be a blast!” Cooper said in the announcement clearly happy about the co-host.

The two are currently on a long-running live show where the duo muse about real-life problems, Hollywood relationships, and their friendship.

“I’ve been friends with Anderson for twenty-five years. We’ve traveled the world together and performed in 30 plus cities with “AC2″ and it’s all led to this one huge night!” Cohen said. [GSN]
