Boeing has finally revealed its first fully painted 737 Max, a plane that’s set to take to the skies in 2017 under Southwest Airlines. The game-changing plane will reduce emissions thanks to its LEAP-1B engine that will be 20 percent more fuel efficient than the 737 Next Generation aircraft. Another key difference is the split winglets that give the plane a futuristic feel.

The much-needed upgrade to the 737 comes nearly a half century since the airplane was first introduced in 1967.
