Our favorite Mad Man, Bryan Batt, may be out of a job. It looks like after the Sterling Cooper ad agency regrouped, Bryan Batt’s character was not called back to work. In a case of sexual discrimination, the ad agency has let him go because of his homosexuality.
The shooting of season four is set to begin in March and the creator, Matthew Weiner, seems to have confirmed that Batt is not returning, “[It] was a tough moment for the show, but that’s where we are. I know how people felt about Bryan. I obviously love working with him, and he has been an indelible character since the pilot. But I felt it was an expression of the times that he couldn’t work there anymore. It’s the ultimate case of sexual harassment,” said Weiner, according to TV Guide Magazine.
While Weiner is reading his Batt eulogy, nobody has officially told Batt, “I was supposed to be notified by December 31, and nothing,” said the actor.
