BBC Commentator and former athlete Colin Jackson, 50, has come out on a Swedish TV series called Rainbow Heroes. The two-time gold medal World Champion in 110m hurdles and Olympic silver medalist talked to other out athletes about his time ordeals in the past when he denied being gay.
A former lover had sold a story to a tabloid in 2006 but it allowed him to come out to his parents.
“My mum went: ‘First of all, is the story true?’ And I said it’s true, so it’s not like I can deny it. And then she went: ‘Well, why are people so disgraceful? I realized I had the best parents,” he recounted in the a clip from the series below.
