New York’s own dapperQ, the definitive style guide for queer and genderless fashion, will present the first-ever queer-centric style panel at South by Southwest (SXSW) next week in Austin, TX, during SXstyle.

The panel, “Queer Style: Visual Activism & Fashion’s Frontier,” will delve into pop fashion’s foray into queer style, from H&M to Zara. Panelists will include Anita Dolce Vita of dapperQ, Sonny Oram of Qwear, Leon Wu of Sharpe Suiting, and Aja Aguirre of Fit for a Femme.

As last month illustrated with New York Fashion Week, mainstream designers are turning to unisex clothing and androgynous models more than ever, from Stevie Boi’s “CÄBIN” to Nicola Formichetti. “Queer Style” will be held on Friday, March 11 from 3:30 to 4:30 P.M., at Westin Austin Downtown. Tickets cost $5 in advance, and $10 at the door. For more information, visit SXSW.com.
