Wave goodbye to the standard test-drive experience, and hello to a car (and puzzle) lover’s weekend quite unlike any other. In an aptly named new campaign for the 2017 Ford Escape, Escape The Room puts the 2017 model’s latest features to good use as teams of four navigate an array of rooms by car in an effort to beat the clock.

Open to the public this weekend in New York’s 35,000 square-foot Moynihan Station, SUV’s will operate under a 5 mile-per-hour lock as they wind through a course designed for millennials. Rooms include a tiny studio apartment, a cubicle-heavy office, and an avenue lined with colorful murals by the Bushwick Art Collective.

Team Passport put pedal to the metal early Thursday morning for a preview, and managed to escape each and every room. Take that, Mashable! Some of our favorite features were the active park assist, from parallel and perpendicular positions, which sent a collective gasp through our camp. The game also encourages players to tinker with apps like FordPass and iHeartRadio.

“I’m 34, so at the upper end of the Millennial age group,” says Victor Blake, creator of Escape The Room. “But these rooms are meant to represent stages in our lives. You move to New York, you’re young and broke, dreaming of the first time you get a Hamptons beach share.”

The 1000 tickets to Ford’s exclusive Escape the Room weekend are long sold out, but if you’re ready to hit the road in a new 2017 Ford Escape, your time to take one for a spin is only just beginning.
