Gay Man Denied Marriage License from Kim Davis will Run Against Her

A gay man that was twice denied a marriage license from much-maligned Rowan County, Kentucky Clerk Kim Davis will challenge her in the upcoming race for county clerk.

David Ermold, who is a professor of English at the University of Pikesville, said that he will be running against the county clerk who was arrested after disobeying a Supreme Court order to issue marriage licenses for gay and lesbian couples.

Ermold attempted to marry his partner of 15 years, David Moore, twice.
The announcement came today that he will be running on a platform that emphasizes equality.
The election takes place May 22, 2018.
