Gay Travel: What’s New In…Toronto for Gays and Lesbians

This past year has been a particularly prolific one for Toronto, with a handful of brand-new hotels to start. Smack dab in tony Yorkville, the 55-story, 259-room The Four Seasons Hotel Toronto (60 Yorkville Ave. Tel: 416-964-0411. opened in October 2012. With interiors designed by Toronto-bred life and business partners, George Yabu and Glenn Pushelberg, the hotel is sublimely contemporary. The rooms, decked out in cool milk tea tones with splashes yuzu of yellow and muted lavender, feature floor-to-ceiling windows, down pillows and duvets, and granite bathrooms with deep soaking tubs. A ninth-floor pool overlooks the city, while a 30,000-square-foot full-service luxury spa is Toronto’s largest. For dining, Café Boulud presents Chef Daniel Boulud’s clean, modern take on Canadian fare, while lovely cocktails rule at sassy dbar.
