Transgender model Andreja Pejic covers Glamour Spain without the magazine labeling her as such. They describe her as the “model of the moment’ rather than focusing on her transness which some would use to push more copies.
Pejic has pushed the fashion world forward when it comes to transgender and non-binary acceptance. In 2014 she announced her sexual reassignment and has had continued success landing the covers of American Vogue, Marie Claire Spain, and GQ Portugal.
In an Instagram the LGBTQ advocate writes, “Here I am rolling around Coney Island in the latest Balenciaga captured by one of my favorite up and coming photographers Rebekah Campbell. Also, really want to give Glamour Spain a big thumbs up for not feeling the need to slap my gender or medical history across the cover in order to sell more copies. Can I get an amen?”
