You may think of Jägermeister as that shot that puts you over the top at the bar, but the legendary German tradition has a storied history that involves saints, hunting, and a white deer (but really, you’re not thinking about that when your gulping this black liquid gold down). At the beginning of this week, the liquor company celebrated spring in New York at The Heath, and we got to sample some expertly crafted cocktails that make the most out of the #56parts that comprise it.
One of our favorites was the Spice Trader, complete with dry ice, that debunked all of our misconceptions about the spirit.
Shake with 3 ice cubes & strain into a highball glass over crushed ice & place in a double old fashioned glass with dry ice. Garnish with a long orange twist and add hot water to the dry ice.
