Today, Google has officially launched an immigration crisis fund in the wake up Donald Trumps unconstitutional ban on some immigrants from coming into the country. The new crisis fund will help four immigration rights organizations. The Internet giant has funded an initial $2 million, but the fund has the potential of raising nearly $4 million. The money will go toward the American Civil Liberties Union, the Immigrant Legal Resource Center, the International Rescue Committee, and the U.N. Refugee Agency.
“Google says in a statement that it’s concerned about the impact President Donald Trump’s order to temporarily suspend immigration from seven Muslim majority nations will have on the company’s employees and their families,” according to the AP.
