We are now one step closer to traveling at over 700mph on the Hyperloop. The company, Hyperloop One, announced their first successful test of the technology. The company displayed its working propulsion system just outside of Las Vegas. The system, which as of now looks more like a metal sled, demonstrated how the technology (which was only in theory stages) could actually work. According to CNET: “A series of tubes will connect metropolitan areas. Anywhere from 10 to 30 passengers will load into a pod located inside the tube. The tube is depressurized to as close a perfect vacuum as possible, eliminating most air resistance. Using the power of magnets…”

The company hopes to have cargo moving as soon as 2019.
