To coincide with JetBlue’s first-ever airport lounge at JFK’s Terminal 5, JetBlue also announced the launch of their totally redesigned cabins that include premium seating called suites. The new suites will be available next spring for flights to and from Los Angeles and San Francisco from New York. The lie-flat seats will also come with a sliding door for further privacy. Flyers will also get a hot meal and, of course, full access to DirecTV. The move serves as a departure for the airline that once billed itself as “egalitarian,” but with increasing competition from other low-cost carriers and other full-service airlines operating the same route, JetBlue is hoping to once again differentiate itself and attract more leisure travelers.
