New Mexico Legislature Advances Ban on Gay Conversion Bill

New Mexico is one step closer to banning the archaic and dangerous practice of gay conversion therapy. The state is hoping to end the practice on minors that is proven to do more harm than good by advancing a bill in the state’s senate. The Democrat-sponsored bill was introduced by both Sen. Jacob Candelaria and Rep. Andres Romero from Albuquerque. The bill will now move to the House of Representatives, and will hopefully pass and add New Mexico to a growing list of states that have similar bans. [Icun]
