It’s been one hell of a year. We’ve seen it all—both good and bad. And for this week, we’re reminding you of some of the defining moments of 2013.
We’ve been waiting since 2010 for Virgin-mogul Sir Richard Branson to make good on his bet with Air Asia Group CEO Tony Fernandes. The bet was that if Branson’s Formula One team ranked lower than Fernandes’, then Branson would work an Air Asia flight as an Air Asia stewardess, which means he’d have to comply by all the rules that Air Asia flight attendants have to. Yesterday, the day finally arrived and the mogul wore the airline’s signature red dress and lipstick. “I always wanted to be an air hostess, but it looks like I have to get back to normality,” Branson said.
The flight, though, wasn’t just for the humor of it all, it helped raise money for an Australian foundation for hospitalized children.
