‘Star Trek’ Airs Gay Kiss for First Time in 50-Year History

In the first time in Star Trek‘s 50-year history, the show boldly went where it had  not gone before with a same-sex kiss between two characters. As we are all well aware by now, the digital reincarnation of the show (on CBS All Access) Star Trek: Discovery features two gay characters played by Anthony Rapp and Wilson Cruz.

Last night’s mid-season finale had the two lock lips, and it was out of this world.
