‘The Normal Heart’ Directed by Ryan Murphy Heads to HBO

Brought to you by the creator of Glee, American Horror Story, and The New Normal, Ryan Murphy’s latest project will bring the award-winning play The Normal Heart to HBO. The story about the early days of the AIDS pandemic was originally slated for the big screen, but instead will air on television backed by a $15 million budget. The main role of Ned Weeks is to be played by Mark Ruffalo, and the cast will also include the openly gay star from TV’s White Collar, Matt Bomer.
