The L Word sequel series in the works at Showtime and could be greenlit soon, according to Variety. The show would once again be run by series creator and executive producer Ilene Chaiken as well as reunite stars Jennifer Beals, Leisha Hailey, and Katherine Moenig who would reprise their roles in some capacity. In a recent cast reunion with Entertainment Weekly everyone expressed interest in continuing the series.
The series will center on a group of new women with the potential to have characters from the original make an appearance.
The L Word is a groundbreaking series that followed the lives of a group of lesbians and ran on Showtime for six seasons from 2004 to 2009.
