YouTube is coming under fire for its new filter that is meant to block out offensive content for younger users, but YouTube-star Tyler Oakley points out that it is also censoring LGBT content. The restricted mode, which is meant to flag inappropriate content, has blocked “8 Black LGBTQ+ Trailblazers,” according to Oakley. Other users also have commented on the censorship, with transgender Internet stars also claiming that their content is being blocked.
until we hear back from @youtube, please actively check on all LGBTQ+ creators you're subscribed to & continue to support their content.
