Springtime in Provincetown is filled with exciting things to do, see, and experience. Enjoy the beautiful coastline along the Atlantic, explore queer-owned shops in town, and spend evenings imbibing and dancing at some of the region’s best gay bars, restaurants, and clubs.
In May, Ptown hosts Single Women’s Weekend where lesbian singles are invited to mingle over dancing, food, dune tours, and late night parties. During this event, Ptown remains an ever-safe space for women to connect with themselves and each other. The empowerment continues into June with Women of Color Weekend, three days of events exclusively for LGBTQ+ women of color including workshops, parties, meals, and more.
Honoring women further, is the town’s Lesbian Visibility Week which will take place this year from April 22 – 28. This event celebrates queer women and solidarity within the LGBTQ+ with other marginalized communities. Activities will include live music, a play reading, a Provincetown Herstory storytelling panel, meditation sessions, yoga, dating games, and more.
Book your plans now for Provincetown Pride (May 31 – June 2) to celebrate the full spectrum of our community with a festival and rally at Town Hall, the Queer Comedy showcase, the annual Feet Over Front Street Pride 5K + so much more! There will be multiple events, parties, and Pride programming throughout the weekend. Check in with the Provincetown Business Guild website for updates!
For those who enjoy a good spring hike, there are various trails for all experience levels that take visitors along the beach dunes or into the woods. The Beech Forest Trail, which is less than a mile long, is perfect for birdwatching and quick family-friendly walks.
Bicycling enthusiast should head for the Province Lands Bike Trail, which is great for intermediate to advanced cyclers due to some sharp turns and hilly terrain. Views here are colored by sandy dunes, and access points are available at various beaches in town.
