Airlines that service the United States are reporting the highest number of passengers since the Recession began in 2008. The new 2013 report reveals that 826 million passengers flew in 2013. The number of travelers nearly reached 2007’s 838.2 million only 1.47% higher than in 2013, but if trends continue 2014 could reach pre-Recession levels. Other released statistics show that Delta carried the most domestic passengers, United the most international travelers, and Atlanta continues to be the busiest US airport. [Skift]
