Bravo-star and executive Andy Cohen said that he will not return as the co-host of Miss Universe pageant this year as it will be held for the first time ever in Moscow. Cohen told Giuliana Rancic that “…”he turned [the job] down because ‘[Russia’s] discriminatory policies make it unsafe for the gays who live there and gays coming to work or visit…The law is that anyone under suspicion of homosexuality can be arrested’…adding that he ‘didn’t feel right as a gay man stepping foot into Russia.'” The pageant, which is set to take place on November 9, is organized by NBC and universal and Donald Trump and knowing how the Trump feels about gay people, we’re sure there is little room for him to budge on where the event will take place. While the Olympics have taken center stage when it comes to calls for boycotts, there seems to be little movement putting pressure on the Miss Universe pageant.
