It seems that Republican candidate Governor Brian Kemp of Georgia thinks the LGBT community should be legally allowed to be discriminated against, but at the same time is also after their votes. According to Grindr users, Kemp had placed banner ads attacking his Democratic rival Stacey Abrams—particularly for Abrams’s stance on sex-offender legislation.
So far, Kemp’s campaign camp isn’t denying that the ad placement. While the Democratic Party of Georgia recognized the irony of the ad as the state celebrates Pride Week.
“…We don’t expect him to find much support,” said Seth Bringman. “He has made clear that he would sign discrimination into law if he is elected governor, even though 400+ major Georgia employers have said that doing so would harm the state’s economy.”
