Australia could see a record $710,000,000 if the country legalizes gay and lesbian marriage. According to the ANZ report, businesses that cater directly for weddings would benefit the most, but that an increase of international travelers (and domestic travelers) will benefit the economy as a whole. Within the first 12 months, the country could see an additional $355,000,000 or more (the study’s authors called the estimate conservative).
