Barbra Streisand Calls Apple’s Tim Cook, Make Siri Pronounce My Name Correctly

It’s Streisand with an S not Streisand with a Z.

“[Siri] pronounces my name wrong,” Barbra Streisand said in an interview with NPR. “And so what did I do? I called the head of Apple, Tim Cook, and he delightfully agreed to have Siri change the pronunciation of my name, finally, with the next update on Sep. 30.… [It’s] Streisand with a soft S, like sand on the beach. I’ve been saying this for my whole career.”

Barbra Streisand had it with the way Apple’s personal assistant was pronouncing her name, and did what any self-respecting diva would do, she got Tim Cook on the phone. It may have helped that Cook is a member of the family!

Apparently Siri had been pronouncing Streisand with “Strei-Zand.”
