The famous hazelnut-chocolate spread slashed prices in France giving shoppers a 70% discount on the famously sweet breakfast, lunch, dinner, late-night treat, and the French went wild. Intermarché supermarkets ran a promotion that discounted the Italian spread from €4.50 €1.40, which prompted a mass migration to stores around the country where people went all-out Black Friday. The goods sold out in 15 minutes leaving one person with a black eye.
“They are like animals. A woman had her hair pulled, an elderly lady took a box on her head, another had a bloody hand,” one customer told French media.
“We were trying to get in between the customers but they were pushing us,” a worker told the news.
