New York’s preeminent ice cream duo Doug Quint and Bryan Petroff are taking their soft serve creations from their shop Big Gay Ice Cream in Manhattan, putting them in a truck and serving people in San Francisco from June 7-9.  If you haven’t heard of their unique flavors here they are: The Salty Pimp, a vanilla soft-serve with dulce de leche, sea salt, and chocolate dip; the Bea Authur, a vanilla cone with dulce de leche coated on crushed vanilla wafers; the Godzilla, a vanilla cone coated in crushed wasabi peas; and the Cococone, a vanilla cone coated in curried toasted coconut. Whether it sounds tantalizing or repulsive these flavors are out of this world and must be tasted. The co-founders are making the special trip for the Cultivate Festival hosted by Chipotle. To get a taste of one of New York’s popular desserts, the Big Gay truck will be outside of the Health Ceramics in The Mission on June 7 from 12pm-2pm, at the Golden Gate Park all day June 8, and at Humphry Slocombe and Godby’s Truck Stop Cafe pop-up at Truck on June 9. These flavors are ones you won’t forget and may even have you jumping on a plane to New York for more. [Eater]
