‘Bohemian Rhopsedy’ Rocks its Way to Top of the Box Office

The autobiographical movie about Freddie Mercury dominated the box office this week. It may have taken half a decade to get the movie made, with plenty of controversy over the story and who would take on the epic role, but it seemed to have come together and pleased both Queen diehards and the average consumer. The film took in $50 million in domestic ticket sales and brought in $72.5 million internationally, according to Fox, for a global total of about $122.5 million.

The film scored lackluster reviews with many claiming that the movie image of the icon watered down Mercury’s sexuality.
