Canadians to Protest Opening of Country’s First Chick-fil-A

Canadians don’t want their chicken with hate. There has been a massive outcry from Torontonians over the planned opening of the country’s first Chick-fil-A. This will be the anti-gay chains first international location, and the reaction (especially online) has been less than stellar.

The company made the announcement online with the Tweet. “It’s true! Our first restaurant is scheduled to open in Toronto in the first half of 2019. We won’t stop there though…we aim to open 10 to 20 restaurants in Toronto over the next five years!”

“Canada doesn’t want your hate. I will never support your business. Don’t bother coming; you aren’t welcome here.

“Just a friendly Canadian reminder that we are a progressive country and have morals and fight for equal rights for all. We don’t want your bigoted and discriminatory business opening anywhere north of the border.

This is just a sampling of the thousands of tweets against the company.
