From February 12-16, the travel site Orbitz will be partnering with the booty-baring Insta page The Travelin Bum to curate an online travel show, lovingly called Orbuttz. Throughout the 4 days, hosts, including Jackie Cox from season 12 of RuPaul’s Drag Race, will lead you on a tour of cities around the world. From New York to Honolulu, Rio, and even the Turks and Caicos, along with others.
The event is designed to coincide with Valentine’s Day to celebrate love and travel. The Travelin Bum Instagram page famously posts tongue-in-cheek travel photos of bare booties all over the world, and Orbitz is partnering with them to further show their commitment to the LGBTQ community, to celebrate bodies of all shapes and sizes, and to provide a safe space for people from all backgrounds to dream of travel.
As part of the festivities, Orbitz is also making a $10,000 donation to the Stonewall Community Foundation, a queer nonprofit that helps fund grassroots organizations, works with groups like God’s Love We Deliver, and advocates for better care for homeless LGBTQ youth.
This is a continuation of Orbitz’s commitment to the queer community. Last year the website launched their Orbitz Pride microsite which gives specialized travel advice and deals to the LGBTQ community.
