A newly released video of Chelsea Clinton speaking out for marriage equality may, well, not be so new. The video was actually recorded for the organization TheFour in 2012 in support of gay and lesbian marriage in Maine, Maryland, and Washington as well as the proposed constitution amendment in Minnesota. In the video the former first daughter says that “one of the most important issues on any ballot this November is equality for gay Americans.” So, why did the video never air. Well according to reports, NBC news “scuttled the campaign” because Clinton works as a special correspondent.
