Chief Rabbi Visits Gay-Pride Stabbing Victims in Jerusalem

A glimpse of hope comes a day after the horrific stabbing of six pride marchers in Jerusalem. Chief Rabbi of Jerusalem Aryeh Stern visited the victims speaking to those injured and denouncing the tragic attacks as “totally contrary to the Torah.” He told the press that “This is a day for prayer for the injured and for unity…Differences of opinion and dispute are legitimate and will continue but raising ones hand against ones fellow is forbidden. ”

He continued by assuring the LGBT community that the religious community “does not and will not tolerate such acts,” and “people who believe in the fear of heaven are very distant from these deeds.
