Clint Eastwood appeared on Ellen today to promote the movie Trouble at the Curve, but he also talk about his appearance at the Republican National Convention and reiterated his stance on marriage equality as “a part of the libertarian idea: Leave everybody alone!” This is not the first time Eastwood voiced his thoughts on same-sex marriage. In 2011 Eastwood told GQ, “I don’t give a f**k about who wants to get married to anybody else! Why not?! We’re making a big deal out of things we shouldn’t be making a deal out of…Just give everybody the chance to have the life they want.” While not waving a pride flag anytime soon, we can agree Eastwood has a much better view than people like Kirk Cameron.
