New York City–based songwriter and musician Jennie Vee is on our radar this week, and for more reasons than one.
For starters, the music video for “Real Eyes,” the third single off Vee’s debut full-length album, Spying, dropped today via Nylon, and it’s got a seriously anthemic, 80’s tinged vibe.
The Canada-born musician is currently on the final leg of her West Coast tour with VOWWS, and has made fans out of Courtney Love, Dave Navarro, and Snow Patrol with her unique brand of punk-y dream-pop. Oh, and did we mention she spent last summer on Lana Del Rey’s “Endless Summer” tour, playing the bass for Courtney Love?
The music video for “Real Eyes” was shot in Los Angeles by director Will Dearborn and edited by Piper Ferguson, who has shot with Imagine Dragons, Florence + The Machine, and Beck.
