Creator of ‘Will & Grace’ Donates John Oliver’s Gay Bunny Book to Every School in Indiana

Last week, John Oliver made headlines when he responded to Mike Pence’s wife’s book about the VP’s bunny, Marlon Bundo, by releasing his very own book about Marlon Bundo. In Oliver’s version, Pence’s bunny is gay and goes on a mission for the right of all animals in the garden to get married to whomever they wish. Oliver also conjointly released an audible book featuring some big-name voices like Jim Parsons, John Lithgow, RuPaul, Ellie Kemper, and Jesse Tyler Ferguson.

Max Mutchnick, the co-creator of Will & Grace said that he will be donating 1,100 copies to 1,100 schools in Indiana—Mike Pence’s home state.

“I would like to donate this copy of A Day in the Life of Marlon Bundo to your library,” Mutchnick wrote in a letter posted to his social media pages, which was addressed to grammar school libraries in Indiana. “After hearing about the book, I brought it home and read it to my twin daughters. It’s a poignant story about how love and community can rise above intolerance.”

Money for the book will go toward The Trevor Project.
