On April 25, 2015, Nepal suffered a massive earthquake measuring 7.8 on the Richter scale. Beyond the destruction of many important cultural landmarks, nearly 8,500 people lost their lives to this tragedy, while many others sustained injuries or are still missing.

Conceptualized by Simona Ferrera and led by artistic director Lloyd Knight, 35 talented members of New York’s dance community have come together to put on the event Dance for Nepal, on Tuesday June 30th at 7 P.M. in New York City’s Union Square Theatre, to assist with Nepal’s relief effort.

All proceeds go to benefit the earthquake survivors with providing food, shelter, and other basic necessities via the Disaster Recovery International (DRI) Foundation’s Nepal Relief Fund.

Tickets can be purchased here.

To those who wish to help but cannot attend, more information can be found on the DRI Foundation’s website.
