Going on four decades, the cheeky honor of “Rear of the Year” has been bestowed upon only the finest of British bums, from Adrian Chiles’ to that of Ricky Whittle.
We know, we know: talk about prestige.
Well, this year’s winner is none other than Daniel Radcliffe, and it’s an honor for which, he says, he’s been “campaigning for years.”
“It’s a thing we do in England. You don’t do it in America, because I was going to say, if you don’t do it here in America, maybe my awards counts kind of globally,” the U.K. actor told E! Online.
Radcliffe has a fine history of baring his assets in years past, from his Kill Your Darlings sex scene with a certifiably beefy blonde, to his full-on Broadway breakout role in Equus.
In a short acceptance speech, the Harry Potter actor was a picture of grace.
“Thank you to everyone who voted for me for Rear of the Year,” he said. “It’s a very prestigious honor. I promise to… get it out a lot more in the future.”
