Dining Out for Marriage Equality in D.C.

Chef Kyle Bailey of Birch and Barley will be one of the top chefs participating in the Chefs for Equality event.

In delicious efforts to raise awareness proceeding the upcoming vote on Maryland’s stance on marriage equality, the Human Rights Campaign and prominent food columnist and cookbook author David Hagedorn present an evening of food, music, fashion, cocktails and auction in Chefs for Equality. Held in the Ritz-Carlton Washington D.C. at 6:30pm on October 26, 2012, the event is particularly dear to Hagedorn. “I’m thrilled to bring together leaders of the culinary community for a very special night to uphold Maryland’s law giving all its citizens the right to marry the one they love.”

The evening promises cocktails from mixologist heavyweights that will feature Derek Brown of The Columbia Room, Gina Chersevani of Eddy Bar, John Harris of Firefly, Rachel Sergi of Jack Rose and Todd Thrasher of TNT, as well as for-auction fashion pieces to be modeled throughout the event, including apparel from Michael Andrews Bespoke.
