‘Drag Race’ Announces First Ever Holiday Special

Drag Race is going all out for the holidays this year with its first ever holiday special. On Dec. 7, RuPaul will be crowning America’s first Drag Race Christmas Queens at the Holi-Slay Spectacular.

Eight queens will be coming together for the special: Jasmine Masters, Eureka O’Hara, Shangela, Mayhem Miller, Kim Chi, Latrice Royale, Sonique, and Trixie Mattel. Alongside RuPaul on the judges panel will be Ross Matthews, Michelle Visage, and Todrick Hall, who will also be choreographing some of the routines.

VH1 has assured viewers that they are in for plenty of surprises and Christmas cheer. Expect to see lip-syncing to RuPaul’s holiday albums, Slay Belles and Christmas Party. RuPaul noted that his Christmas Party album was inspired by holiday festivities with the queens, stating, “This VH1 holiday extravaganza is my way of saying thank you to my Drag Race family by spreading a little bit of love, laughter and light across the country and around the world.”

RuPaul’s Drag Race Holi-Slay Spectacular will air at 8 p.m. ET on VH1.
