Thirty NYC-based drag queens and kings will perform at a show benefiting the Ali Forney Center on 9/7 with RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 9–winner Sasha Velour headlining the benefit to raise money for homeless LGBTQ youths. The much-needed funds will toward helping the Ali Forney Center and will take place at 6 P.M. September 7th at Highline Ballroom. AFC, which sees over 1,400 homeless youths each year, is the nation’s largest and most comprehensive organization dedicated serving this population.
This one-night-only benefit performance serves as the official launch of DRAGS, a coffee table book featuring full-length black-and-white portraits of NYC drag legends photographed by veteran photographer and director Gregory Kramer. Kramer, who is the mastermind behind the book and event, has committed 100% of the proceeds of the book sales to benefit the young people who come to AFC for help.
Meet-and-greet, VIP, and General Admission tickets are on sale now, and all ticket levels include an open vodka bar provided by Chopin Vodka.
