One thing’s for sure, there is going to be a whole lot more dancing going on in the aisles of The Academy Awards when Ellen DeGeneres takes over as host of the 2014 Oscars. The openly lesbian comedienne and talk-show host has already hosted the show back in 2007 and received positive reviews and an Emmy nomination for the gig. “I am so excited to be hosting the Oscars for the second time. You know what they say—the third time’s the charm,” DeGeneres quipped in a statement. Last year, Seth McFarlene caused major controversy for his somewhat-offensive approach at hosting. The Academy, though, seems confident that DeGeneres will bring much-needed family-friendly comedy to this year’s show. “There are few stars today who have Ellen’s gift for comedy, with her great warmth and humanity. She is beloved everywhere,” the Academy said in a statement.
