The NBA announced it would be moving next year’s All-Star Game, Bruce Springsteen, Pearl Jam, Nick Jonas, Demi Lovato, Boston, and Cirque du Soleil have chosen to boycott, while other artists like Mumford and Sons, Joel McHale, and Cyndi Lauper have donated their proceeds to help fight North Carolina’s anti-LGBT ‘bathroom bill,’ and now fans are hoping that Drake will use his platform to make a statement about LGBT rights in North Carolina. His August 23rd show in Greensboro is expected to be a full house—his album has been at number one for 12 weeks—and fans are demanding (over 4,000) demanding that the Canadian rapper donate the profits from the show to help fight against HB2, the North Carolina’s Public Facilities Privacy & Security Act.
