House Bill 4260, or the Man’s Right to Know Act, is a piece of legislation that’s soul purpose is to make a point that men shouldn’t regulate a woman’s body just as a woman shouldn’t regulate a man’s. The bill calls for a fine of $100 for “emissions outside of a woman’s vagina” aka masterbating. The bill also calls for men to get an elective vasectomy or colonoscopy and if a man requests a Viagra prescription, he must undergo an “unnecessary” rectal scan.
Sounds ridiculous, right? That’s exactly the point. The bill hopes to shed light in Texas on the ridiculousness of the majority men legislature imposing strict laws on women’s reproductive (and general) health.
“The bill may be satirical, but the message sure resonated,” Clinton said. “When you seriously try to kick millions of women and families off their health insurance – when you believe it would be the right thing to do for your political base to defund Planned Parenthood even though the majority of America disagrees with you, that is not empowering women, that is just meanness, that is cruelty.”
