Ryan Murphy’s other other other other project, American Crime Story‘s third season won’t be out for a while, but casting news has been confirmed for this season’s Versace telling called Vulgar Favors: Andrew Cunanan, Gianni Versace, and the Largest Failed Manhunt in U.S. History.
The big reveal this week was an official photo reveal of Penelope Cruz as Donatella Versace. The world-famous Mexicana actress looks absolutely stunning (and the Speedo-clad men behind her aint bad either).
According to reports Glee-darling Darren Criss will play the gay mass-killer Andrew Cunanan who famously took the life of legendary fashion designer Gianni Versace and Ricky Martin as Gianni’s longtime partner Antonio D’Amico.
The surprising reveal, though, seems odd as the show has yet to even air its second season yet, which is set to tackle Hurricane Katrina: American Crime Story: The Great Deluge: Hurricane Katrina, New Orleans, and the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
The second season is set to premiere in 2018, so who knows how long we will have to wait to see Cruz in action.
