France’s far-right party has set its agenda, and it’s hoping to end same-sex marriage in France. Marine Le Pen the head of the French Nationalist Party has pledged to do so if her party were to win the election that takes place in May. The far-right party is currently leading a polls and has even worked to forge ties with conservative gays while also courting the anti-LGBT lobby. Le Pen has sadly signed a pledge to end gay and lesbian marriage in the Western European country. Within a list of policy announcement, one of the 144 pledges includes ending same-sex marriage and instead forming civil unions. The policy specifies that those who have already been legally married will remain married, but tying the knot once the policy goes into effect will be considered civil unions.
