Last night, the 58th Annual Grammy Awards took place with performances from the industries greatest talents. The coveted Album of the Year award was given to none other than Taylor Swift for “1989”  while Best New Artist was given to Meghan Trainer. While sometimes it was tough to even remember that this was an awards show, as the show bopped from performance to performance, we weren’t really complaining. Highlights included Kendrick Lamar’s performance of “The Blacker and the Berry,” where he was in chains and all but just lit on fire and Lady Gaga’s medley tribute to David Bowie. While the highly anticipated Adele comeback performance was marred by technical issues.

While the highly anticipated Adele comeback performance was marred by technical issues, she still managed to remain calm and make it through the entire performance.

One of the highlights of the evening was a live performance of the opening number of Broadway’s smash hit Hamilton—one of the award show’s first nods to a contemporary musical. The Broadway Blog has the video.
