Gay Actors & Roles Receive Numerous Emmy Nominations!

Earlier today, the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences released the full list for this year’s Emmy nominations, showing once more that when it comes to television, the gays are always there to lend a helping hand.

In the race for best supporting actor in a comedy, a full three out of the six actors are nominated for gay roles. The nominees include Chris Colfer for his role as Kurt Hummel, the fashionable and flamboyant high school student on Glee, as well as Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Eric Stonestreet, who play committed partners and neurotic fathers to an adopted daughter on Modern Family. Out actress Jane Lynch was also nominated for her hilarious portrayal of Sue Sylvester on Glee.

We wish these actors the best of luck and applaud them for bringing honest depictions of LGBT characters to a national audience.
