Twitter accounts that belong to ISIS members/fanatics have been taken over with strong pro-LGBT messages, including pornography. WauchulaGhost, who is affiliated with Anonymous, has helped take control of over 200 accounts since last month, drawing attention to accounts that promote harmful propaganda. Since then, Twitter has taken many of these down. Since the events in Orlando, WauchulaGhost is back at it—replacing calls of violent actions to rainbow flags, pro-gay messages, and even porn.
As one can imagine, the extremists aren’t pleased with the rainbow takeover. One hacker told CNN: “I get beheading images… death threats. ‘We’re going to kill you’ and that’s good because if they are focusing on me they are not doing anything else.‘We started to take over their accounts with porn and gay pride images basically just to troll them. We thought that putting the naked images would offend them.”
