Kevin Fret, a 24-year-old rapper from Puerto, was murdered in Puerto Rico. The LGBTQ advocate was shot in Santurce, a densely populated neighborhood. He was shot eight times early in the morning while driving a motorcycle and brought to a local medical center where he was pronounced dead, according to El Vocero.
In a statement to Billboard, his manager writes: “Kevin was an artistic soul, a big-hearted dreamer. His passion was music, and still had a lot to do. This violence must stop,” Rodriguez said. “There are no words that describe the feeling we have and the pain that causes us to know that a person with so many dreams has to go. We must all unite in these difficult times, and ask for much peace for our beloved Puerto Rico.”
There has been a surge in crime in Puerto Rico with this reportedly being the 22nd murder in Puerto Rico since the beginning of the year.
