Australian artist Tatjana Plitt has released a heartfelt photo series entitled “Gay Warriors”, which documents nine same-sex military couples who have been open and out since the removal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.” The photos pay homage to old marriage and family photographs, that speak to the validity and affection of these unions. Plitt hopes to collect fifty photographs of military couples across the country and expand the photo series into a book and a touring exhibit. With only three days left to go, Plitt’s Kickstarter Campaign is near reaching its goal, which will allow her to travel and continue to photograph couples.
